BIG NEWS! Join us in celebrating the harvest!

We began roasting Fair Trade coffee in 2006 with the desire to build relationships in our community. The time has come for us to grow into a new season that reflects la cosecha, the harvest. The coffee flower is a symbol of the goodness to come. It must bloom for the coffee plant to produce each year. This delicate process is essential for our daily cup. Join us in celebrating the harvest!

When we first started roasting coffee over 16 years ago, we never imagined that we’d be where we are at today. Since we began, we have purchased over 165,000 pounds of coffee that has impacted the growers in a positive way. As we have grown over the years, one thing has been evident to us: Spanish is not easy for people to pronounce or remember. Though we are still La Cosecha Coffee Roasters, we believe there’s a new season that has come for us that still reflects who we are as a business. This season is one that still connects people through the bonds of coffee that was grown in a sustainable manner, but it’s time for us to simplify.

We chose the coffee flower as our new primary image because it reflects our passion for coffee while still symbolizing the beginning of the harvest process. The coffee flower is essential to the cup we drink every day. The blooming process is a delicate and almost sacred process on coffee farms. Coffee farmers will leave the fields for a couple of days in order to not disturb the coffee while it’s in full bloom. If the plant does not bloom, then it will not produce the fruit or the coffee cherry, so it is essential for each plant to bloom in order to reap a successful harvest.
